Federico / A moving portrait

I’m Federico, an Italian photographer and filmmaker working between Italy and the US. I’ve spent 15 years photographing weddings around the world. This season, Houston is home.

My background is fashion and advertising in Milan. For your wedding, that means an editorial eye without turning the day into a photoshoot: a little direction, real moments, and an edit that feels like you.

The photographs you’ll frame. The speeches you’ll want to hear again. The movement and atmosphere a still image can’t hold. This collection brings them together from $2,800 for 4 consecutive hours — with me as your photographer and filmmaker, not two separate teams to book.

Should we book four, six or eight hours?

Four hours can cover your ceremony, portraits and part of the celebration, depending on your timeline. Six hours allow more time for preparations or the reception. Eight hours give us more room to tell the story of the day. Travel between locations and setup count within your consecutive coverage hours.

We choose the schedule around your priorities. Speeches and ceremony coverage must fall within your booked hours. Photo gallery size reflects the time and events covered: approximately 300–400 edited photographs for eight hours, with the scope of shorter collections agreed before booking.

Is one person really enough for photo and video?

Yes, for most wedding days. This is a deliberately streamlined collection: one experienced photographer-videographer, at least four consecutive hours, and a focused set of photo and video deliverables. I work with both cameras throughout the day and plan the timeline with you. It is not the same as two people covering different places at the same time. If that is what your day needs, I’ll quote the additional team.

How do we book, and what happens after we inquire?

Send your date and venue through the form. I reply personally, usually within 48 hours, and we arrange a relaxed introductory call — no commitment to book. If it feels right, I send a written proposal with everything we discussed.

Your date is reserved once the contract is signed and the agreed retainer is paid; the retainer and the remaining balance are set out clearly in your proposal, before you commit to anything.

When and how do we receive our photographs and video?

Your edited photographs arrive in a private online gallery on Pic-Time: a personal mini-site for your wedding, where you can view, download and share everything with family. Your highlight video and speeches are delivered as high-quality digital files. Delivery dates are written into your proposal and contract, so you know exactly when to expect everything before you book.

Prints and albums are not included; both can be ordered on request.

How do you photograph and film our day?

Hybrid shooting has been part of my work for years. I carry a LUMIX S1RII for high-resolution photographs and a LUMIX S1II for video, working with both throughout the day. A Canon Cinema EOS C70 and dedicated audio support documentary coverage of your speeches. Delivery of the full ceremony video is an optional add-on, agreed before booking.

Do we receive the full ceremony video?

For Video and Hybrid collections, I record the ceremony in full with my Canon Cinema EOS C70 when it falls within our planned coverage. Recording the ceremony and delivering a full-length ceremony video are two different things: the full ceremony video is not part of the standard delivery.

Your collection includes a highlight video up to 3 minutes and documentary video of the speeches. If you would also like the full ceremony video, we agree the editing, delivery and additional price before booking.

Can you cover both getting-ready locations?

Usually, yes — just not at the same time. When the timeline allows, I visit the groom first, then the bride, driving between your Houston-area locations. Coverage is sequential, not simultaneous; we build travel and setup time into the timeline together. If you want both locations covered at the same time, we can quote a second shooter.

Cinema cameras — and real film?

The Canon EOS C70 is a professional cinema camera approved for use on Netflix productions. That approval refers to the camera, not an endorsement of this wedding service. Alongside it, my full-frame LUMIX cameras bring high-resolution photography and moving images to your day.

For something tactile, choose optional film photography: Rolleiflex medium-format 6×6, with 12 frames per roll, or a 35mm camera. We choose the format and number of rolls together; film photography is quoted separately.

How do we get to know each other?

We start with an introductory call before you sign a contract, then have a second planning call before the wedding to go through the timeline and what matters most to you.

When our schedules allow, I love to include an engagement shoot: a relaxed way to get comfortable together and capture moments we can weave into your final video. We agree availability and what’s included before booking; it isn’t guaranteed with every date.

More coverage or a destination wedding?

Additional coverage is $350/hour for Photography, Cinema or Hybrid, subject to availability. Your highlight video remains up to 3 minutes. For a larger team, my wife Aisha’s studio, Ama by Aisha ↗, covers weddings with more than one photographer and videographer. Travel within the Houston area is included; travel fees and accommodation, where needed, apply elsewhere. I’m available across the US and for destination weddings, with all travel costs agreed in your proposal.

What happens after your Houston season?

I usually spend summers in Italy — a little time off, and a little time creating campaigns with fashion brands. Houston is home for this season; your agreed delivery and follow-up continue wherever I’m working. Delivery dates and file details are set out in your proposal and contract. Your date is reserved after the contract is signed and the agreed retainer is paid.
